Binance Login Failed: Common Causes and Solutions

Published on 2026/3/15 | 10 min read

Common reasons why Binance login fails and their corresponding solutions, covering wrong passwords, 2FA issues, IP restrictions, device incompatibility, and more.

You open the Binance app or website to log in, but no matter what you try, you can't get in. There are multiple possible causes — let's troubleshoot them one by one. If you don't have an account yet, you can register on Binance first.

Cause 1: Wrong Password

Symptom: "Email or password is incorrect"

Solutions:

  1. Check that Caps Lock is not enabled
  2. Make sure your input method is set to English
  3. If you genuinely forgot your password, click "Forgot Password":
    • Enter your registration email or phone number
    • Receive a verification code
    • Set a new password
    • Withdrawals are disabled for 24 hours after reset (security measure)

Cause 2: Wrong Google Authenticator Code

Symptom: After entering the code from Google Authenticator, it says "Invalid"

Solutions:

  1. Check your phone's time: Google Authenticator generates codes based on time — an inaccurate clock causes invalid codes
    • Settings, then Date & Time, then enable "Set time automatically"
    • In Google Authenticator app: Settings, then Time correction, then Sync now
  2. Enter the latest code: Codes refresh every 30 seconds — make sure you're entering the currently displayed one
  3. Confirm the right account: If you have multiple accounts in Google Authenticator, ensure you're using the Binance one

Cause 3: SMS Verification Code Not Received

Symptom: After clicking send, no SMS arrives

Solutions:

  1. Wait 1-2 minutes — international SMS may be delayed
  2. Check if your phone has signal
  3. Check if SMS was intercepted (spam folder, security app block logs)
  4. Confirm your phone number isn't suspended
  5. Try switching to voice verification (if available)
  6. Restart your phone and retry

Cause 4: Network Issues

Symptom: Page won't load, spinning, timeout

Solutions:

  1. Switch between WiFi and mobile data
  2. Try a different network environment
  3. Clear app or browser cache
  4. Uninstall and reinstall the app
  5. Try logging in via the web version

Cause 5: Outdated App Version

Symptom: "Version too old" message, or features malfunction after login

Solutions:

  1. Update to the latest app version
  2. Android users: re-download the latest APK
  3. iOS users: switch to an overseas Apple ID for updates

Cause 6: Account Frozen

Symptom: "Account has been frozen" or "Temporarily unable to log in due to security reasons"

Solution: Refer to the account freeze handling guide and contact Binance support for unfreezing.

Cause 7: Device or Browser Incompatibility

Symptom: Page displays abnormally, buttons unresponsive

Solutions:

  1. Try a different browser (Chrome or Safari recommended)
  2. Disable browser extensions/plugins
  3. Open in incognito/private mode
  4. Try a different device

Cause 8: IP Region Restriction

Symptom: "This region is not available" message or redirect to a restriction page

Solution: Switch your network environment and retry. Certain IP ranges may be temporarily restricted by Binance's risk control system.

Cause 9: Account Compromised and Password Changed

Symptom: You're certain you didn't change your password but still can't log in

Emergency Actions:

  1. Immediately try "Forgot Password" to reset
  2. If the registration email has also been changed, contact Binance support immediately
  3. Provide your registration information and KYC identity details
  4. Request account freeze to prevent fund theft

Login Security Tips

To reduce login issues:

  1. Use a password manager: No forgotten or mistyped passwords
  2. Back up your Google Authenticator key: Recoverable if your phone is lost
  3. Bind multiple verification methods: Email + phone + Google Authenticator
  4. Log in regularly: Long periods of inactivity may trigger risk controls
  5. Note your common login devices: New device logins may require extra verification

Security Check After a Difficult Login

If you've experienced login difficulties, check the following after logging in:

  1. Recent login records: Security Settings, then Device Management — look for unknown devices
  2. API keys: Check for any APIs you didn't create
  3. Withdrawal address whitelist: Look for unknown addresses
  4. Security settings: Verify 2FA, anti-phishing code, etc. haven't been modified

If you spot anything unusual, immediately change your password and contact support.

Most login issues can be resolved with the methods above. If nothing works, contacting Binance's live support is the most effective approach.
