Some users find the Binance app defaults to a language they don't prefer after downloading. Binance fully supports multiple languages — you just need to switch it in settings. If you don't have the Binance app yet, download the Binance app to get the latest version.
Changing the App Language
Android
- Open the Binance app
- Tap the profile icon in the top left (or bottom "More")
- Find "Settings" or the gear icon
- Tap "Language"
- Select your preferred language from the list
- Tap to confirm
- The app switches immediately
iOS
- Open the Binance app
- Tap the profile icon in the top left
- Scroll down to find "Settings"
- Tap "Language"
- Select your preferred language
- Confirm the switch
Can't find Settings? The last tab in the bottom navigation bar is usually "More" or your profile icon. Tap it and look for a gear icon or "Settings."
Changing Language on the Web
- Log in to the Binance website
- There's usually a language selector at the bottom of the page
- Or click the globe icon in the top right
- Select your preferred language
Some Content May Stay in English
This is normal. The following content may not be translated:
- Token names: BTC, ETH, USDT always use English abbreviations
- Trading pairs: BTC/USDT format won't change
- Technical terms: Some terms like "Maker," "Taker," "Spot" may remain in English
- Event announcements: Some promotional pages may be in English
- Customer service replies: Support may sometimes reply in English
Core menus, buttons, and operational instructions will be in your selected language and won't affect normal usage.
Push Notification Language
After switching the app language, Binance push notifications usually follow suit. However, email notifications may need separate configuration:
- Go to account settings
- Find notification preferences
- Confirm your language setting
FAQ
Q: Will switching languages cause data loss?
No. Switching languages only changes the display — your account data, transaction history, and assets are completely unaffected.
Q: Does the language reset after app updates?
Normally no. Language settings are saved in your account preferences. However, a complete uninstall and reinstall may require resetting.
Q: What if my preferred language isn't available?
Possible reasons:
- App version too old — update to the latest version
- Some region-specific versions may have limited language options
Q: Can I switch back anytime?
Of course. Same path: Settings → Language → Select your language. Switch anytime.
Other International Settings
Beyond language, you may also want to adjust:
1. Display Currency
Set which fiat currency your assets are displayed in:
- Settings → Display → Valuation Currency
- Options include USD, EUR, GBP, and more
- This only affects the display, not actual trades
2. Time Zone
Binance defaults to UTC time. If you want charts and trading times in your local time zone:
- This is usually adjustable in the chart settings on the trading page
- Some pages may not have a time zone toggle
3. Theme (Light/Dark)
Switch between light and dark modes in settings based on your preference.
Switching to your preferred language makes the overall experience much smoother. Reading buttons and prompts in your own language helps avoid misoperations — especially for trading.
